After setting the world on fire last fall, the Stephen King-esque Netflix show, Stranger Things is set to return. In fact, we’re just under two weeks away from the full Season 2 premiere. The final trailer for the season dropped recently and it looks like things are about to get dark in the next part of the story.
For those who may not have watched Season 1 last year, let’s do a brief recap. Stranger Things Season 1 saw Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) disappear under mysterious circumstances. His friends, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), meet a young girl named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) who has psychokinetic abilities. Together, they try to find out what happened to Will while the show’s characters encounter strange occurrences.
In this final trailer for the show’s second season, it appears that the scope has expanded beyond a simple “kidnapping” storyline. Characters new and old are gearing up for a battle with the creature(s) from The Upside Down. Since returning from the alternate dimension, Will hasn’t completely been himself as was evident at the end of the last season. At this point, the show could literally go anywhere as there are no expectations of the plot. Of course, though, expectations for the show’s quality are through the roof. The creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, made magic with their first season. Hopefully, Season 2 will pan out the same.
Stranger Things Season 2 premieres on Netfilx in full on October 27th. Check out the final trailer and comment below.
