It certainly has been a while since we’ve heard anything about Steven Knight’s BBC Two television show, Peaky Blinders. Season 3 dropped on Netflix for American audiences in May of 2016 and we’ve heard little about the show since. Though, Knight was busy working on the Tom Hardy-led show, Taboo, earlier this year as well. Now, the first look at Season 4 of Peaky Blinders has been released and it should be as good as ever.
For those who haven’t watched the show, shame on you. Stop reading this and binge watch it on Netflix. After all, there are only six episodes a season. The show is about the real-life titular gang that operated out of Birmingham, England following World War I. Each season has been an amazingly vulgar and violent affair. Much of that has to do with the show’s main characters. Cillian Murphy stars as gang leader, Thomas Shelby, who, along with his brothers, Arthur (Paul Anderson) and John (Joe Cole), expand their business and encounter formidable foes along the way.
This first trailer for Season 4 continues the trend as characters new and old butt heads. New to the cast this season are big names like Adrien Brody and Aidan Gillen (of Game of Thrones fame). Along with the main cast, standout Tom Hardy reprises his role as Alfie Solomons as well. In the trailer, the Peaky Blinders look to be in some hot water in the fallout of Season 3 with arrests, hangings, and gun battles all teased. Basically, it’s everything we’ve come to love about the show.
While an actual release date hasn’t been announced, Peaky Blinders Season 4 is rumored for a late 2017 release. Check out the trailer and comment below.
