Oh yeah… We’re less than two months out from the Season 7 premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones. It’s no secret that it has been one of the most popular television shows in recent memory and is, arguably, one of the greatest shows of all time. Basically, Game of Thrones has become a cultural event with every new episode that’s released.
Season 7, though, is the beginning of the end. While the show hasn’t waned in popularity despite the slower pacing of Seasons 5 and 6, Game of Thrones isn’t going to pull the old Walking Dead trick and meander its way through countless seasons. Everything that happens in GoT happens for a reason. It’s all leading up to something big. The Season 7 trailer proves that as Cersei Lannister’s (Lena Headey) narration about enemies coming to take King’s Landing from every direction. Yes, the epic climax will focus on the great war between all of our most beloved characters.
Again, the entire show has been building to this point since the very first episode of the show. Unfortunately for fans, these two final seasons of the show will only feature 13 more episodes in total. There are seven scheduled for this coming season and six for Season 8. Though, as many shows have stumbled through messy final seasons, Game of Thrones will look to break the mold. The show has been executed to near perfection over its entire run. Everyone should have faith in the showrunners to produce a satisfying climax.
There really isn’t much to say about the trailer. It’s Game of Thrones. If you love the show, you’ll love the trailer. Check it out and comment below.
