We are just about a week out from the release of production company A24’s newest horror film. Surprisingly, a new trailer for It Comes at Night just dropped today.
Usually, films get a final trailer about a month in advance but A24 is breaking the mold. It Comes at Night is jammed into a summer blockbuster release date and it’s sandwiched in between big budget films like Wonder Woman and Transformers: The Last Knight (*shudder*). It’s also being released on the same day as Tom Cruise’s ugly and bloated looking reboot of The Mummy. Needless to say, It Comes at Night has its work cut out for it.
However, it could end up being an underdog story. Judging by the trailers, it certainly looks better than all three of the aforementioned films. Though, the current buzz on Wonder Woman is that it’s actually good (we’ll see…). This new trailer is quite brief but it says all it needs to about the film. It uses quotes from recognizable people to spotlight the different feelings explored in the film. There’s still a mystery about the film and the trailer only makes it that much more intriguing.
