With the constant barrage of superhero movies coming out, it’s easy to be a bit shortsighted in terms of what’s coming out next. In that regard, it’s shocking to think that we’re just over a month away from the release of the next massive Marvel ensemble film, Avengers: Infinity War.
We said this after the last trailer for this film was released but we’ll say it again. This is the big one. Back before The Avengers was released in 2012, it was hard to comprehend how Marvel could balance so many heroes in one film. That looks like total child’s play compared to the cast of Infinity War. Just look at the ridiculous cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Tom Holland, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, and countless others. From a casting standpoint, Infinity War has to be one of the most expensive films ever made.
One question that crosses your mind while watching this trailer is, “How long is this movie anyway?” At the moment, IMDb doesn’t list an official runtime but it has to be at least three hours. There’s so much going on in the trailer and there isn’t a logical progression of events to get us to the action. We haven’t seen a bunch of these characters together in a movie yet so it’ll be interesting to see their first meetings.
Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on April 27th after being pushed forward from its original May 4th release date. Check out the final trailer and comment below.
