Back in July, we received our very first taste of the solo Wonder Woman film. Now, today, we got another. The second trailer for DC Comics’ Wonder Woman has dropped and it’s just as good as the last one.
This isn’t necessarily new for DC though. They always manage to cobble together a decent trailer for their films. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad both garnered massive amounts of hype before their respective releases. At the moment, it looks like Wonder Woman will be doing the same.
While there is room for skepticism when it comes to DC, the film isn’t doomed. A solo adventure is much smaller in scope than the bloated mashups that we’ve been getting from them. Just look at how Marvel started their cinematic universe. They introduced all of their characters first and then put them together. We’ve already seen actress Gal Gadot as the Amazonian princess in Batman v Superman and she was one of the only good things about that film. It’ll be interesting to see what she can do with extended screen time. Hopefully, the DC universe can finally get itself on track with this film as well.
Wonder Woman is set for release on June 2nd, 2017. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, and Danny Huston. Check out the new trailer and comment below.
