Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just keeps looking better and better. The newest trailer for the film dropped earlier today and it’s good. Real good.
This will be short and sweet since we’ve already covered the basics of Rogue One here and here. This new trailer really ups the ante and makes this spinoff feel big. The story is an integral part of the Star Wars universe that we haven’t seen before on film. Thanks to this newest preview, it can now be concluded that Rogue One will feature an epic, all-out rebellion against the empire. It also shows the connection that the main character, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), has with the enemy.
Compared to the other trailers, this one feels the most bombastic by far showcasing numerous battles and giving a glimpse of more of the film’s main characters and their stories. Another quick note about the trailer is that the music is excellent. Michael Giacchino should be proud of himself for his pulse pounding score.
There’s no doubt that Rogue One will be another massive success for Disney and the Star Wars franchise. Disney has been absolutely nailing it with their intellectual properties as of late and it’s unlikely that that will end with this film.
